Breaking out of the classroom into the world....
Up at 41.4 we won't get past 9 hours 29 minutes until the 14th, though I do love watching the Sun slowly creep Northward.
January 19 for us. I love that the light has noticeably changed and the shadows are getting shorter. I have a Solstice Mark in my foyer and the sun is now a foot below the "high sunlight mark". The sun even came out here today!
Dear Ben and Kathryn,I'm not sure I could live much farther north than I do this time of year--our frequent forays to south Jersey gain precious minutes of daylight.OTOH, must be nice to have the extra light when it's warm outside.
We'll have to trade notes near the Summer Solstice.
