I was much more impressed with the restraint of the protestors. I watched live literally for hours, and found the vast majority of protestors to be courageous and kind.

I've treated too many young adults in the ED with "incidental" injuries to be unbiased, and after a lifetime of seeing over and over again the abuses of power against POC, I'm less inclined to give the benefit of the doubt to folks inclined to support the party view.

This was never about just Ferguson.doylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12901661320505882735noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4956989639073843954.post-87183403574904327682014-10-22T12:11:20.202-04:002014-10-22T12:11:20.202-04:00Hi Michael, I think the confusion about what you ...Hi Michael, I think the confusion about what you wrote was from the setup to your letter.

Quote from Valerie's article

"His letter, from one white teacher to his white teaching colleagues, is about the responsibility they have toward their students to discuss the issues surrounding the killing by a police officer of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., as well as the killings of other young black men by police in other cities within the past month."

I believe that is where the misunderstanding came from.

Side note...it appears that the autopsy's of Michael Brown supports the the cops version of events. Looking at what's been happening in Ferguson , the riots and vandalism etc. Does that change your view of THIS situation?Docnoreply@blogger.com
